Another great night of music is in store as IAMA is excited to present Trenton McKean and SYNKOFA. This concert is proudly sponsored by Feldman’s Deli. Thank you Michael Feldman for supporting live local music along the Wasatch Front!

With two decades of experience as a seasoned composer and songwriter, Trenton McKean showcases his musical prowess through performances on the acoustic guitar, marked by strong artistic vocals that carry a hint of musical theatre. In addition to his role as the lead vocalist for the Son of Ian band, McKean has contributed to the world of film scoring and radio jingles. His multifaceted musical journey includes captivating live performances for local television stations such as Fox13, KUTV, and ABC4, as well as prestigious events like TEDx and the Utah Arts Festival. McKean's stage presence has graced renowned venues like the Deer Valley Concert Series in Park City, Utah, where he shared the stage with notable artists such as Jimmy Newquist and Andy Grammer. As part of a dynamic trio, he collaborates seamlessly with the talented Lance Johnson on keys and the skillful Carl Ross on bass, creating a musical experience that transcends genres and resonates with audiences.

The World Music band SYNKOFA builds upon innovative folk song arrangements of violinist Theresa Ellis, and original compositions of guitarist Eric McKenna, and the solos of upright bassist Steve Wesson. The the instrumental ensemble seeks to transport listeners to distant times and places only to bring them back again to the present with eyes and ears wide open. Together, they play Celtic roots music with Gypsy Jazz flair. They carry the audience to the misty Irish Highlands, the hot jazz clubs of 1950’s Paris, the stone cathedrals of the Renaissance, to the porch steps of Appalachia, and beyond! They self-describe their music genre as Celtic jazz. General admission at the door. $15/10 IAMA Members. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome
